Anniversary of U.S.S. Arizona
After standing on the decks of the memorial for the U.S.S. Arizona,
I wrote this poem to honor our fallen comrades on the
50th Anniversary of that day, December 7, 1991.
It is included in my book, Autumn Leaves.
We came to pay you tribute,
O’er encrusted decks we stood.
And because you are deserving,
We rendered as we could.
Oil seeps up to surface light,
Rainbowed tears of those below,
Doomed forever to silence
Those many long years ago.
“Forget me not,” you whisper.
“Perish the thought,” say I.
“Though you sleep beneath the sea,
Your memory shall not die!”
“Remember Pearl! Remember Pearl!”
Soon became our national cry.
Our country rose in anger
On a vengeance trail to fly.
We shed our tears; we shed our blood.
War took an awesome toll.
Still we fought on to victory
While you topped our “Honor Roll.”
So rest in peace, fellow comrades,
The victory has been won.
We’ll not forget the price you paid
Seven December, Nineteen Forty-One.
Note: Oil still seeps out of the hull of the U.S.S. Arizona, creating rainbows on the water above it.

This came into my in box: Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO? First your keyword must appear in the title.Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article. Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. After I originally left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now
each time a comment is added I recieve four emails with
the same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you can remove me from that service?

From WordPress IT assistance – for duplicate comments received because they checked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox issue:
The easiest way for them to remove themselves from comment notifications is by navigating to the following page when logged in to their WordPress.com account:
http://wordpress.com/following/edit/
From that page, they’ll need to click the “Edit” link next to your blog name. Then, they’ll see the option to toggle the comment notification off. Here’s an example:
If they do not subscribe through WordPress.com and instead use only email, they can still update their subscription setting by using the Manage Subscriptions link at the bottom of the email as shown here:

Thank you for your compliment. In response to your question, I have to say that centering myself is an easy thing because I have practiced it for many years. Eric Butterworth used to say that life is a wheel – one can be at the hub (center) or out on the circumference. If one lives on the circumference, one feels really busy and run over…caught up in the circumstances. However, if one lives in the hub, it is quiet. When I take God’s hand in the morning, I am living in the hub. As to clearing my head, meditation and deep breathing can accomplish that quickly. Happy writing! Enjoy your day! 🙂

Actually, insofar as spam goes, http://www.wordpress.com (my host) puts all incoming messages into my spam folder. I open that to review the messages to either delete spam or put messages into the pending folder so I may respond to them. I do this frequently. Unfortunately, spam is out there. Sorry I could not help you more. Enjoy your day anyway. 🙂
